Mobile App Development Kits
The development kits from Intel and Epic Games are interesting now.
INTEL XDK
Intel, with its XDK has come a long way. In the early days the Intel XDK was a hiccup, and through the days it has become more polished and more usable.

EPIC GAMES UNREAL ENGINE
Epic Games launched their Unreal Game Engine 4, with a FREE license model. So what does a game engine has to do? It targets both desktop and Mobile app platform. Recently I played Guncat in Android, which was developed using Unreal Engine. The graphics is smooth, performance is good. Though it had some glitches, the game proved fun otherwise.
